Review California State University - Fresno
I'm personally on the university track team and I can say the opportunities they provide are excellent. The facilities are either brand new or being currently renovated. Fresno state offers a great variety of intramural sports too , which I would definitely be a part of if not for my prior commitment with track. Student involvement at football games is pretty high, half the city practically comes out to tailgate, it's pretty fun!
The past few months has been a great experience for me. From the very first time that I came to this campus, everyone seemed so nice and supportive. The campus is very beautiful and peaceful. What I really like from Fresno State is there are many different resources that I can take advantage of when I am in need. But my favorite resources are the Career Development Center and the Student Cupboard. The Career Development Center, has a clothing closet of professional clothing for students. Students from Fresno state are allowed to take three items from the clothing closet per semester, and the best thing about it is that is it absolutely free. The second best resource on campus is the student cupboard, students can come in and take free food.I have used these resources because it is a huge support, since college life can be difficult. I would not like to see a change at Fresno state, I am happy here just the way it is.
I'm a 2016 high school graduate and just finished my first semester here in Fresno State. So far, I am exceedingly happy with my experience here. The institution really deserves more credit than what locals here assume to be an otherwise "lacking" university. The professors are great and the many facilities open for the students offer us whatever we may need. Granted it may not be the biggest or most expensive university, but Fresno State offers a high end general education for most degrees. The only problem I may have at the moment would be the expensive textbooks (but you can honestly find them from outside sources, past students, etc.) and the waitlist for pre-nursing majors.
