My experience with California State Polytechnic University Pomona has been a pleasurable one. I have met so many wonderful people through the classes offered here and the community that this school has grown. The classes provided are very hands on, which help develop a more direct connection to the lectures and lessons taught and create a deeper understanding of the subject material and skill. There are definitely some things that need to change on campus; it is one of the most affordable technical schools in California, but unfortunately that doesn't say much. Housing is very inconsistent as the university houses students either in dorms that should've been torn down years ago or dorms that are over-reliant on elevators that break down constantly. But overall, it is a great school to go to.
I have been having a great time at Cal Poly Pomona. I really enjoy the classes I am taking right now and the councilors make it easy to know what classes I should take next. Cal Poly also has many clubs that have been helpful in progressing my major knowledge.
It is a great campus and I love the people around me. What I would like to see change is the food being served there, I would like more variety.
The campus is nice, spacious, welcoming. Lots of food options available and places to just vibe. The professors are kind especially those in music. Nutrition professors are all very kind and feels tight knit.
Cal Poly Pomona gives a lot of opportunities, when they say their school is hands-on they mean it. I have had the opportunity to get my first job and work with amazing people and meet incredible friends.
I have loved the engineering labs I have been involved with and I can see direct connections between classes. I do wish there were more hands-on opportunities to mimic working in the field. We do, however, have wonderful clubs that provide new and unique learning opportunities.
So far my experience at Cal Poly Pomona has been pretty positive. I have gotten some great professors and I and slowly learning news things as I go.
The campus is great as well the professors offering help and advice. There are many areas in the campus where you can study and finish any assignments. I only thing that I want in campus more variety of sports and courses.
Cal Poly Pomana is a great school. I had the opportunity to move away from home and live there on campus my freshman year. I met a lot of amazing people and I enjoyed all of my classes and professors. Unfortunately, when Covid hit I had to live back home and I had online classes. It was a major change, but thankfully I quickly got used to my new routine. I was able to move back to Pomona my senior year and I had online and in person classes. The professors made online learning easier for me and it is very apparent to me that they care a lot for their students.
I like how everyone here at Cal Poly Pomona is invested in learning by doing and cares about the students succeeding. I also like how there are many resources to help with student needs like the career center or wellness center on campus.
I Love Cal Poly Pomona. It is a large and beautiful campus with so many opportunities to meet new people and exposure to different views of life.
At first I felt lost due to the advisors not really helping all they really say is to search it up and all this, it makes it hard since you are a first year you don’t know where anything is. After you get the hang of things it’s pretty easy and pretty chill everyone seems to get along. There is always someone to talk to and people are petty open to make new friends making it easy to talk to them.
It's nice and they seem to do they're best at helping students whether it be academic or with personal issues.
I embarked on a transformative journey at California State Polytechnic University - Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) that left an indelible mark on my life. From the moment I set foot on the sprawling, picturesque campus, I knew I was in for a unique and enriching experience. Academic Excellence: Cal Poly Pomona's commitment to academic excellence was evident in every facet of my education. The dedicated faculty members, many of whom were accomplished professionals in their fields, made learning engaging and meaningful. The innovative curriculum emphasized hands-on experience, and I was fortunate to participate in cutting-edge research projects that expanded my horizons. State-of-the-Art Facilities: The university's state-of-the-art facilities were a testament to its commitment to providing students with the best resources for success. Overall, I had one of the best experiences being part of this institution.
Cal Poly Pomona was a nice school with a wide selection of programs to choose from. I liked that it's campus was full of nature and greenery and how helpful the staff and professors are.
I love going to cal poly Pomona. As a first time college student, it is a really nice campus that I go almost full time, and they offer a lot of help to make sure you get the education you need. One thing I would like to change is to add more shuttles around the campus to make it easier to get around, but I dont mind walking anyways since it’s really healthy.
When I first arrived at Cal Poly Pomona, I was amazed by the diverse architecture on the campus; brutalism, deconstruction, and many other architectural styles are present on the campus. Walking is always a peaceful experience due to the variety of trees and grass surrounding the buildings. Having free access to the gym is convenient for maintaining a healthy body. Most professors are understanding and passionate about teaching, making lectures amusing.
I would appreciate it if there was more shade available. During summer, the sun is scorching, and most parts of the campus are open, making walks to class unenjoyable. My overall experience of Cal Poly Pomona is enjoyable and makes it a great place to attend.
