I love cal poly slo. The atmosphere and the academics is amazing. Im a horticulture major (plant science) so the amount of diversity of plant life here is just a awesome experience. the diversity isn't just on the campus either, the surrounding town is filled with beautiful landscapes of different plants, a lot of them are edible too! the town always has something to do for students in their free time and the hikes are worth it. When it comes to academics, I think cal poly does it well. I get along with all of my professors and the classes really do have a hands on learning experience which I can apply to my profession.

I love the overall academic, athletic, and social environments of Cal Poly! It's a great school full of extremely driven and talented individuals. One thing I would like to see change a little more is the diversity within the student body population. It's already off to a great start, but I think it would be cool to see the integration of more diverse groups of people around campus.
I have absolutely loved my time at Cal Poly. Their learning by doing philosophy has been an incredible part to my experience. As a freshman, I'm already able to take classes that are (1) directly connected to my major and (2) have actual hands-on experience! I'm an animal science major looking to eventually apply to vet school, and so these hands-on experiences are extremely valuable.
