Brenau University Reviews
Rating 3.66 out of 5 749 reviews
Brenau has been wonderful to me in many ways. I have met my lifelong friends, I’ve grown into a women with dreams and goals, some already accomplished and others I still aspire to conquer. I’ve met wonderful faculty, worked many places around campus, and have been chosen for many student leader positions. I am a part of a wonderful and talented athletic team at Brenau, the competition cheer team. Brenau has offered many opportunities and placed me in the eyes of many connections where I am able to network with alumni, current students, and faculty and staff. Although Brenau is great for building community and relationships, one thing I do wish for is more student life. Brenau does have events for students, but not many. Having more student events for students to attend and participate in can keep students interested and engaged at Brenau!
The professors want to see you succeed in and out of the classroom setting, which can make their classes challenging but rewarding. They are quick to respond to your questions and are very understanding when you are going through something. The dining hall has gotten much better and I enjoy meeting there for lunch. The downtown area is across the street and is so fun with the farmers market, live music, and cute shops! I enjoyed my experience at Brenau and have a great career because of how the school prepared me for success. You only get out what you put in to something!
Brenau University has a good community, but one that I believe is primarily found in sororities on campus. The walkability is excellent, and the newer facilities, such as the School of Psychology, are comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped for learning. As a historic college, the older buildings and dorms could be better, particularly in small classrooms and temperature control. However, this is balanced out by the opportunities given to students, such as using the school's small size to make friends more easily, along with access to many quality productions at Pierce Auditorium Theater. The college could be better, but the atmosphere and overall experience are worth dealing with the less-attractive points.
