I love Bloomsburg because it feels like home. It is close to my hometown and it is small. The professors are amazing.
Bloomsburg University as a whole is a very beautiful campus that has many different kinds of majors and minors offered.
Bloomsburg University has been a really great school to go to. As a business student, I feel that the Zeigler College of Business is a good program with many opportunities to go further with my career path. I am apart of a couple business clubs and organizations that are helping my to build my resume and make me stand out in applications. The school community itself has been wonderful. There are several events that take place every week that bring joy and students together. Recently with the combining of schools to form the Commonwealth University, things have been a little hard to navigate and understand. However, I like all of my professors and classes, and am really happy I chose to go here.
Bloomsburg University has helped me navigate what I want to pursue after I graduate. They offer Deaf Education which is a rare major in the state of Pennsylvania and, I am thankful that Bloomsburg University has what I am looking for.
Bloomsburg is a good sized campus. Some professors are definitely better than others. Advisors will make or break your time there. I was lucky to have a great one to help me through scheduling and courses making it easier to feel prepared.
I am attending Bloomsburg this fall of 2023, when I went to visit campus it was very clean and the people were very welcoming. The only thing I wish was a bit better is us newcomers being able to understand our enrollment process and not have it so stressful.
I have not gone yet. I am transferring from Brookdale community college and this fall will be my first semester.
Bloomsburg has helped me grow as a person intellectually & in so many other ways. Great professors and staff.
I attended Bloomsburg University for the Fall 2022-Spring 2023 academic year as a psychology major. I am transferring because I do not feel that the university is the right fit for me. However, I do not have a negative view on the university. I believe that the school as very good academics, earning its reputation as a respectable PASSHE school. The student body is a good size, not too small but not overwhelming, making the adjustment easier for incoming students. I would like to see a change in the merger process. Whenever students were selecting classes for the Fall 2023 semester, many were unable to access their account and register for required classes. What I was consistently hearing from other students was "I committed to Bloomsburg, not Commonwealth". Students do not want the spirit of Bloomsburg to be lost in the merger into Commonwealth University.
My overall experience with Bloomsburg University was positive. Proudly, I can say I have learned so much by the educational aspect while at the same time learning who I am as a new person going into college. I liked meeting new people from all over the country! If I were to see change, I would say for adding more extracurricular activities!
I started to take Classes at BU as a high school senior. From that moment on I felt like it was a good fit to receive my pre-grad education. From the many clubs & opportunities are endless. They have a great programs to help students succeed and as well as professors who care and are willing to help you do exceptional work. I’m now a sophomore at BU and have a few changes I would make. I would have more club sports and more clubs that would be without the student recreational center. I’m an Exercise Science major and I may be bias when saying that, but there is few clubs that I would join that meets what I would want. As well for men’s club sports I just wished there was more options for the student body.
I love my professors, they are always understanding and accommodating in their classrooms. I enjoy the variety of events that Bloomsburg's numerous clubs organize, especially during the winter. I find the networking opportunities available to me through Bloomsburg University's many resources invaluable. One thing I would like to see change is the accessibility on campus, specifically for wheelchair users. The routes for wheelchair users to use on campus are too long and often uphill for a large portion of the route.
I have always wanted to go to Bloomsburg University. I became very familiar and comfortable with the campus after coming up here numerous times for soccer tournaments. The professors and staff are all always very friendly and this school always has numerous fun opportunities for all students to participate in. I would encourage anyone and everyone to attend this school for the best college experience.
Bloomsburg was a very welcoming and inclusive first-time college experience. The staff was very helpful with any questions I had and are always willing to help.
Bloomsburg University was my first and only choice in a college and I do not regret it. Be mindful, it's location does mean there is not a lot of diversity but once you find your people things will be a whole lot smoother. The area is amazing with plenty of shops worth exploring, the residence halls are comfortable but may be difficult if you're used to having your own room.
Amazing professors, lots of ways to get involved, beautiful campus, homey feeling. Your college experience is for YOU to chose. If you chose to not get involved, you may find yourself bored and lonely. Get involved, meet people, and get out of your comfort zone, and you will be so glad that you did.
What I like about Bloomsburg is that there are plenty of activities and events planned for students to participate in weekly by the Program Board. Bloomsburg University is located in Bloomsburg, PA, which is a small town. This is helpful because it is easy to walk downtown from campus, and off-campus housing is still within walking distance. There is also a grass quad in the academics side of campus, which is enjoyable to hangout on with friends on a sunny day. Class sizes are great with their teacher to student ratio. Since Bloomsburg University is a smaller, yet diverse campus, it is easy to adjust and make friends throughout all four years.
I have loved attending Bloomsburg University. Best 4 years of my life! Professors really care about your future!
I truly feel that Bloomsburg University has set me up for a successful future and career.
I truly feel that Bloomsburg University has set me up for a successful future and career.
The campus is beautiful but we have had many problems throughout the way including mold, sickness, and broken AC's.
I love Bloomsburg University, I transferred here feeling nervous they made me feel right at home. My mom also passed away March of 2022 all of the Professors and other resources made me feel so loved and helped me a lot through that process. It is a medium sized town with lovley views from the University.
