Bethel was not a good school. I was excited to attend a religious college but the type of religious individuals that attend here are the stuck up, snobby type. The housing system is awful and is run by very corrupted people. The entire 4 1/2 years that I attended this college I felt bullied by those in charge of either housing or aid. This experience doesn’t include professor’s, they are all very nice and helpful. I actually worked as an RA for several years and often heard parents complaining of having their money scammed of over charged, many freshman leave after the first year.
It was a challenging curriculum, but very convenient. I had immediate access to professors and was able to discipline myself so that I could work full-time and obtain my career. I earned my BS and my MBA.
Easy to use, instructors are available. Only drawback was the cost. Otherwise, this is a great choice for working students. I was 50+ and worked full-time and overtime.
Going to Bethel provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop important skills, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication. It can also help students build social skills, make new friends, and develop a sense of community. The only thing I will change is the strict rules and the improvements of the dorms.
I have had a very good experience with Bethel as an online Dual Enrollment student. The coursework is fairly difficult, which makes it all the more rewarding to get back good grades in return for that effort. The teacher is very consistent with communication through emails and is consistent with grading coursework.
I am presently enrolled in Bethel University through Smyrna High School. I will graduate from high school with an associates degree through Bethel. This is such an honor and privilege. I have had such an excellent experience with this program. Craig Lunn is the director over this program and is wonderful to work with. I could not ask for a better experience.
The people and staff here are amazing! super friendly and always willing to help. The dorms are nice and clean and the campus is always clean. The sports programs excel here and there’s always something to do with student life! The campus is always buzzing with excitement for upcoming events that keeps students involved! Defined recommend this college!
Bethel, by biblical definition, means “house of God”. This is a fact I didn’t know until 1 year+ into my studies at Bethel University. This definition rings true. The McKenzie area is nothing impressive. In fact, I wouldn’t consider it a “college town”. It’s small and there isn’t much to do. The architecture at BU isn’t all that impressive, either. But throughout all of the hardships I’ve faced since being here- financial, physical, spiritual, mental, emotional- the one thing that has kept me is that Bethel holds true to who their definition says they are. This IS a house of God. There are college ministries on every corner. Every athletic and arts program director is sure to invest in you. You find a new sense of belonging. In high school, I was often times “on edge”, feeling like the outcast. This fear kept me from living up to my potential. Now, at BU, I’ve learned to do exactly what they’re motto suggests- to “be ME”, and that is accredited to the safe environment created here.
Honestly I wish I had more characters to explain. Bethel University is a private Christian institution that boasts the importance of its students and their educational development at the university. My time there was long but cut short due to me being suspended. I did spend almost a full year there so I got the experience of the college. Academic wise I feel bethel university is very easy in that aspect but i due believe with the professors I had they taught lessons in depth in their own way some were good, others were not it’s really hit or miss there. Student life lacks immensely there aren’t many campus events and when they do have them they aren’t the best. Not all the students come out for the activities b/c most of them are repeated things or just plain boring. The events that go on that are fun usually end early. The schools policy and Handbook just need to be reworked in general due to the fact you can be fined for literally anything. Overall I will not return to bethel again
Bethel is a great small school with very reasonable professors and great athletic programs. It is a Christian school, so overall people are very kind and you feel very safe on campus. I really like bethel, but due to financial reasons I left, because it does cost a lot more than local colleges.
Hello, I graduated and never received my diploma. When I contacted someone at the school they told me they mailed it to the wrong address and I need to call that place and track it down. I have not since heard from this school. This is horrible behavior for a school of higher learning. No one called with any concern about this situation. They sent the tickets for the graduation to the correct address so the school had it however, either way, I deserve my diploma I earned it. I should not have to HUNT it down. An unprofessional school terrible advisors so sorry I attended this place!
They do not care about their students. They do not care if you receive your diploma or not. This place is all about the money and only about the money it is simple and they will hold your refund and to cheap to fix their own mistakes
I love how diverse Bethel is. I meet so many different, friendly people from all over the world. I met some really great teachers as well. I feel Bethel is too small for me, and it does not have many opportunities. I would love to see Bethel get more Greek life.
I've attended Bethel University for about 1 1/2 years. Great experience! Great Teachers! Great staff and School!
The overall experience I have had with Bethel has been an outstanding one. The professors are always a call, text, or email away ...ready to help in any way possible. I love going to this college.
Bethel university is one of the greats colleges a full time parent can attend . The administration work with you while you take on three lives being a parent, full time worker and full time parent.ine online class are awesome.
Bethel University in McKenzie Tennessee has a lot to offer every student. I have been very pleased to be a part of the Wildcat team. The resources and staff are very helpful and make every class worth taking.
