Gracias adelantadas
This school and its administration are in the process of squandering one of its only worthwhile resources, its faculty, due to their incompetent handling of school funds and insistence on propping up draining sports programs that persistently fail to meet expectations. The many hard-working, helpful professors at Bethany once made coming here a valuable experience, but even that is starting to dwindle away.
All of the admin and professors were very welcoming when going on a college visit. They made Bethany feel like a home to me. The student life is very involved in Lindsborg and the neighborhoods surrounding the campus. They've always communicated with me throughout my college search, which stood out to me the most. The athletic department also tried their very best to make Bethany affordable to me. The students on campus were also very open to me and made me feel comfortable here in Lindsborg. Bethany overall has helped me through my college process, which made me fall in love with the school.
If you enjoy a small quiet college town where everyone is friendly and everything is in a walkable distance then Bethany is the perfect college. I enjoy how inclusive Bethany is with its students and how friendly the environment the professors bring is. The only grievance that I have is the cafeteria food could use an upgrade.
I really like the people there, I've met a lot of what are going to be my lifetime friends at this school. The staff is also very friendly and helpful for me to achieve my goals. I also play basketball for Bethany College and run track. I've found families in both sports as I love them both.
Really nice people. The campus was kinda small but the tow was very lively. There’s a dollar general in the town. A nice little coffe shop that has artist work In there. They have a really good coffe.
I have enjoyed my short time at Bethany College so far. I enjoy how small of a school it is because you can make relationships with teachers.
The academic system just seems to lack compared to Texas. There is great diversity here, however, I only came to this school because I was told the school was heavy on agriculture, which it isn't. Some of the athletics teams also seem to be poorly managed as well.
Overall, Bethany is a decent college. The student population is very diverse for its size and location. There are many programs one can participate in, with a lot of different clubs/organizations for students. Every professor I have had so far has been committed to helping me succeed, especially the math professors. The caf has a lot of options available, but picky eaters may not be a fan. There are almost always pizza and cheeseburgers available, but one can get tired of eating those after a bit. Dorm halls could be better. I have lived in New Hall for the past 2 and a half years and the walls are very thin so you can hear other people. The private bedroom is a plus. Lindsborg is an amazing little town with a lot of neat local shops. With Salina being a short 20 minute drive away and Wichita being about an hour away, there are plenty of opportunities for entertainment and shopping in the area. I technically took a few classes online during covid but my professors were great about it.
Actually, this will be my first year at Bethany college. I will start on August 5, 2022, but my visit to the school was amazing. The staff and students, showed great hospitality. They made my experience, so great that I knew, I wanted to attend. The only thing that I will like them to change, is their cost of attending. For it not to be a D1 or D2 school, their tuition is extremely high.
This will be my first year at Bethany. So far they have been extremely helpful in my application and process. I am looking forward to my educational and athletic years at Bethany
The people at Bethany really make the experience. The relationships I've formed with my teachers and the friends I've made at bethany have been like no other!
I say, if you are coming for the athletics being good maybe you should join golf because that is the only good sports team out there. I also say that academics are not hard and if there is a chance you fail or struggle, it is just because you are procrastinating. School isn't hard here.
The only thing good about this school is the professors. Everything about this school besides them sucks. They're not up to code with the Ada. They have put in the bare minimum effect to be up to code with the Ada. I struggle as someone with a disability to try and get around campus. They don't bother to update any of their buildings unless I tell them that I need certain things because they hm and ha and say that they didn't think about it before I got there. Honestly if you have a disability this school sucks don't come here.
I absolutely love my campus! It’s a small artsy town with sweet amazing people both on campus and in the town of Lindsborg. Being an Art Ed student I am surrounded by encouraging people and am constantly encouraged to peruse my goals. That being said, there are many changes coming to Bethany. They are changing their online website for the students which is daunting knowing I will have to learn how to maneuver around the new website. There has also been renovations on campus that have caused it to no longer have unisex dorms. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it wasn’t what I was expecting from a Lutheran based campus. The most impressive part of Bethany, in my opinion is their staff. The art department is full of ridiculously talented people. Their admissions office, where I work, is also full of enthusiastic people who help so many people choose Bethany! Overall I would encourage anyone and everyone to find their home at Bethany!
The people make the school, Ive met so many friends and became a better student, athlete, and person from my 4 years here. It's older and smaller but they have made a lot of new renovations over the years and the school continues to improve.
It is an okay school environment is okay, it is supposedly a christian school but they are not so christian in my book. I been to christian school before and they do nothing like that.
The only good thing about this school is the professors, who are constantly worked to the bone, and could honestly and easily find a better job somewhere else
They are constantly raising their tuition and room/board prices
Every classroom is chronically underfunded, and it shows in much of the teaching materials used, especially in the biology and art departments
They have weird and frankly idiodic cafeteria rules, even before covid you werent allowed to leave with your food. If you enjoy being treated like an elementry aged student at meal times i guess this is the place for you
Also God forbid you go here all 4 years because the food is ALWAYS the same like 8 things in rotation
The internet in any of the dorms works about as well as being in the center of rural texas, (terrible and useless) and constantly cuts off even in class spaces, and they have added exactly 0 new bandwidth In the past several years
They beds are also just a thin mattress high up on a metal frame

I ran and competed in Cross country and Track and field at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS. It is a nice small college with a wonderful community that supports the college with sports, classes, and events. However, the college's lifestyle can be very small and at times the student life can be very lackluster, if you do not put yourself out there. There are many groups and clubs you can join that are outside of the classroom. For the class sizes, it is small and some professors are terrible and will never get back to you, but the majority will be very nice and you can talk to them one on one any time or get their contact information to be in touch whenever you need help with anything or even with job recommendations around Kansas.
Overall I enjoyed the people I met there and a handful of them will be lifelong friends including coaches and professors, however, the campus and buildings are quite old and need to be updated.

I’ve learned a lot in the little time I’ve spent at Bethany college. The teachers know what they teach and they teach it in different ways that all students can understand. Students learn to see things in different ways because of how they are taught here.
