The teacher are very realistic that many students are non traditional and work around this! There are no other schools in the area that provide so many online or odd hour classes like bay. This has helped me to enroll in classes while continuing to provide for myself financially
While communication with advisors is accessible, it does not always feel very helpful. It seems like many of the teachers are stretched thin and then asked to function as advisors on top of this. Some courses have been very helpful while others felt too intense for their academic level. The iron mountain campus would likely benefit from student housing. I personally found myself in an abusive household that prevented my academic success, emergency housing was needed but unfortunately the school could not accommodate.
Overall bay college offers great accessible programs to many in a very affordable way. The school is grade A in ensuring you receive any funding available to reduce your personal costs!

I loved Bay college. I was a non-traditional college student that attended college after 30 plus years of graduating High School. I deal with disabilities and Bay College was an amazing college for me! It was close to home, and when I did have to travel it was not a far drive from Iron Mountain Campus to Escanaba Campus. The office that helps with disablilty was amazing for my situation, and the staff was so helpful. I attended college with a variety of students ranging from High School graduates to senior citizens, and I loved it! I successfully graduated with my AAS in Office Administration and Medical Office Specialist. I would rate Bay College 5 stars across the board!
Bay College has always been very helpful when it has come to any questions I have had. The TRiO program has also been amazing, they helped me do some career exploration free of charge on the side of my classes, as well as made sure I knew tutoring was free and available to me. Overall, everyone at Bay was very welcoming and I think this is a fantastic college.
