The financial aids process at my community college is fairly simple and straightforward. My college offers federal direct subsidized, usubsidized loans, as well as, PLUS loans to eligible students. There are new policies, such as a first time Federal Subsidized student loan borrower is no longer eligible for the loan if you exceed 150% of the published length to graduate with your specific degree. Therefore, students are advised not to change their majors multiple times, or drop out of school, while attending college. Apart from these changes, the staff are very friendly and helpful! They work during school hours and walk-ins are welcome.

Overall, I had a fantastic time at BRCC. I had learned a lot of new things and the professors are amazing and patient. This school's spirit is what makes it unique. The school accept any race and identification. It feels like home. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely do it again! BRCC is the place to be. They have free tutoring and people who don't mind helping.
As a formal student at Baton Rouge Community College the experience is great, because the professors put a lot of effort into teaching. The professors make sure students understand topics clearly before moving on to another topic. I enjoy attending Baton Rouge Community College and I would, because the professors have a very strong bond with the students.
