It's an older school doing its best to update the campus, but still in very poor condition. A very small amount of students attend Averett and the town is also very small. No local entertainment or activities. Their athletics program is average D3. I personally do not find this school fun, entertaining, or inspiring. Averett is a private university which means tuition is very high.

I am currently a junior at Averett University. The overall atmosphere at Averett University is wonderful. The Professors/staff are easy to get in touch with and are very understanding. Averett is a D3 school so the campus and class size is smaller. I like the smaller class size because I am able to ask questions and get help right away.
Overall very good experience. The staff was very good and knowledgeable in their field of expertise. I was mislead on the financial add part. I wanted to use loan forgiveness because I was going into law enforcement but then conveniently I was told that my loan was not eligible. That was after I had been already paying for 10 years.
