This school is a joke. They basically brainwash their students into a cult. They change policies constantly. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS AFTER THE INITIAL ENROLLMENT AGREEMENT! They lie, cheat and steal from their students to make a buck. I have been fighting to get them to remove a fraudulent collection account from my credit report and they have not provided any of the documents that I have requested. Don't waste your time and money because of a brand name. Get a real education anywhere else.
The environment is amazing and people couldn’t be kinder. It inspires everyone to do their best. I drive an hour there and back everyday because it is worth the experience.
I’m so grateful to be a part of the Aveda Institute. The curriculum sets you up to feel confident as a professional in the beauty industry. The educators are amazing. I love AID
If you are thinking of attending cosmetology school at Aveda I suggest against it. The staff are unprofessional and rude to students. I have seen multiple instances of teachers bulling students in front of their guest's. The online learning rules change about every month and they punish students for not keeping up with these changes. Sam who runs the school and creates the rules is rude to certain students. If you speak out against the school in anyway the staff will bully you and treat you worse than everyone else. There is almost no classroom learning instead they make the students work all day on paying guests so the school can make money. Most importantly they only teach hair when you go for cosmetology there is no focus on skin, nails, ect.
I was very excited to attend the Aveda Institute but I was quickly disappointed.
They have a careless Covid-19 policy that doesn't require masks or vaccines. They also do not inform students or guests if someone in the building has potentially exposed them to Covid. I personally have felt uncomfortable in the environment they have created regarding Covid. There is also no parking for students so you have to park in sketchy areas surrounding the school. The curriculum is hands on and informative but it only teaches you about Aveda products and procedures.

I was absolutely obsessed with this institute! Everyone made me feel welcomed and the administration made me feel wanted and i could tell that they want me to be happy here and to succeed.
The institute is seemed like a good choice in the beginning but I soon realized I had really wasted a lot of money. The administration is a total joke who hire mediocre teachers who barely have any experience. I could go on and on and on. I even made a journal and started writing down all the times that institute could be sued for mid treatment of their students. I would NOT recommend going to school here. Complete and total waste of my money.
I absolutely love Aid. The environment and all of the instructors are so welcoming. The positivity is super encouraging and as a student you need that to continue believing in yourself. I also like the class sizes it’s not to big and very diverse
Aveda has changed my life around, from using synthetics to plant-based and non-animal testing products only. My mind, body and spirit have been on a positive frequency every since I began massage school, the way they give back to society and care for the world really touches me. It is a place where you come in and feel recovered. Leave not only feeling better, but having a fresh outlook on your day, on life.
