Augusta Technical College is an awesome school! It is especially amazing for people who wish to work while in school. With a good, solid education, a high level of campus diversity, an ideal location in south Augusta, and excellent professors, Augusta Technical College is a first rate school with many opportunities. Whether you wish to study a trade, a medical major, or some other area of study, Augusta Technical College is where you wish to be. Not to mention the low tuition prices. Augusta Technical College enabled me to reach for my goals in school, in the workplace, and at home, and I am very grateful for the staff and for the time I spend there with my classmates. The return on investment is top notch, as 98% of graduates go on to pursue their careers right out of college. The campus is also more than ideal, and very pleasant and navigable. The safety is very well administered as well, and any and all individuals have every reason to feel save and secure when on campus.
The classroom sizes are great since the student-to-instructor ratio is balanced out so it's easier to communicate with your instructor. The campus itself is easily navigated and classes are easy to find. The tuition for in-state students is affordable and class schedules are flexible for the individual. I meet a diverse range of people from freshly graduated high school seniors to experienced welders looking to advance their careers. Overall Augusta Technical College is for anyone that wants to grow their career and skills.
RN nursing program: The program starts out well with knowledgeable instructors and wonderful clinical experience. Unfortunately, once entering classes with Ms. Sanders, it becomes chaotic and lacks much instruction. You will go from the instructors helping you understand and succeed as a nurse, to sitting in class with her and having to listen to stories of her home life, watching random YouTube videos, and taking tests from chapters not even covered. In clinical settings, if you even get adequate time, she sits in the lounge on her phone while nurses are unhappy having to teach because your instructor is MIA. She lacks organization and planning but blames the surrounding hospitals on clinical opportunities. The other instructors were wonderful.
