Atlantic Cape Community College has potential to be a great program. The vocational courses and their Aviation programs are much better than their general education, science, literature and communications courses. Their online courses are not incredibly well organized and making contact with instructors proves to be difficult. Mr. Bolicki is this school's greatest asset as one of the school's Psychology Instructors. He is intelligent, well-spoken and dedicated. Professor Bailey taught my online English course and was less than sufficient in her teaching. You were only able to contact her once a week during a 15 minute window of time. She was anything but willing to help students and failed to provide sufficient information, feedback or resources.
It is a hard decision to pick a specific major, because people do not want to waste money or their time. But once they find the right major that fits best for them, everything is smooth sailing. I am currently ending my freshman year of college and it is difficult for most who struggle balancing school with their personal life. The staff is really helpful, after class or whenever they are willing to guide and tutor you one on one. In the library there are workshops for Math and English, students can walk in anytime and there will be a tutor there to help.
I took one online HPED class that was a requirement for me to graduate. It was easy, as long as I stayed on top of my assignments. With online classes you need to check almost everyday for updates and anything being posted, with in room classes its a little different, you'll be getting most of your directions in class. I have also taken a hybrid class where half the time is in the classroom and the other half is online, that was confusing because we had quizzes both online and in the class. Everything was easy to handle and manageable.
