Atlanta Institute of Music and Media Reviews
About a year ago I started doing some soul-searching wondering what do I want to do with my life. I was 23 at a time no kids single own apartment own car but yet I wasn’t happy, working a job I disliked, feeling I was just living to pay bills. I knew every since I was 11 years ago I love the writing poetry, rhymes, and raps. So I figured while and I do something in music. I started looking at the different fields I can do and came across audio engineering and audio post production. I thought those were the dream career jobs I have been looking for. So then I started searching on colleges near me that have the program but none were of my liking. Then I came across the Atlantic Institute of music and media , where I’ve found my match! Down to the degree that they offer internships and jobs in overall experience and location of the school this is my #1 choice and excited to see what the future holds
It's really cool learning about music and how to make it in the instructors help you along the way I couldn't ask for a better school to go to it really Hands-On with you
The advisor at AIM is very helpful with trying to make my school schedule flow nicely with my work schedule. The classes are spaced out enough so you have time to study, and work on projects.
Networking is offered monthly at AIM, giving students the opportunity to meet and greet alumni and other people affiliated with AIM.
The major i took for school is something that gives me knowledge and information i can use for my career going forward. The facility allowed me to practice until i was great at what i am doing which is music and audio engineering. After being done with school they work with the students to offer jobs and internships.
There isnt many online activities. Majority of the activities are hands on and it helps you learn faster. The online activities that take place help when communicating with students outside of class.
The classes are extremely flexible especially with my work schedule. It is not more then a 15 minute commute from my house. My only frustration is i wish there were more students at the school to be able to gain information from as far as the major I am going to school for.
