Cannot get financial aid for summer, disorganized, difficult to get counseling appointments so you know what to take next, lack communication, classes are oversized, do not consider ASL a language so don’t bother if you transfer with two semesters already (it won’t count), overpriced, overrated, tried to charge me fees for classes I didn’t take and withheld transcripts when I was trying to transfer schools, wait times on phones are atrociously long and sometimes you won’t get a call back at all, some professors just love to hear themselves talk, some are okay, some like to change dates and times without warning for exams, lots of use of lockdown browser which isn’t always great when you’re a single parent. I just don’t recommend this school especially if you are from out of state. It was a last resort for me at the time and I regret it but I am now at a new university and couldn’t be happier.
It is a great school, I am able to be a single mom and do school and have a free internship. The way they have the courses set up makes it very easy to understand the course marital. They have many people there to help you with whatever you need, they also give you access to handshake, which is a place that you can go to look for jobs. Over all a great school.
ASU was unique in that semesters are broken up into two parts allowing for an accelerated experience like taking all of your chemistry sequences in a single year. This is particularly beneficial to someone like me who is returning to college after completing a degree already and working on a complete career change. The classes I've taken so far have been very linear and organized, and while it may be a lot of work at first, it has been easy to adapt to the way the school works, and as long as I keep up with deadlines, the material is very manageable and I don't feel like I'm missing out on the material.
ASU online offers a lot of flexibility to the working student! It offers many different options in online courses and degrees. I am a current user of the Starbucks College Achievement Program so my tuition is completely free of charge. The only thing I have to pay for is books and other supplies. There is not great access to student involvement and student life unfortunately.
The course load is average. I enjoy the use of accelerated courses as I can work through courses faster and year-round.

its amazing, I have control over what goes on my transcript and my degree doesn't show was being online its AMAZING
It was hard to adjust to at first but once I got the hang of it it has been pretty rewarding to be able to go to school and still be with my family and help them out.
Dropped out of this school after a week--classes were large and disorganized, the credit transfer rate was abysmal, and my program track was second rate at best. The admin office is less than helpful. Since I had payed a portion of the first semester, I received a refund check. A few months later I found out they had been contacting me in my student email (which I didn't have access to, no longer a student) because they decided I actually owed them that money, and have now sent a $1,000 debt to collections! After arguing with them for months, I now have to pay a grand for a weeks worth of classes. The whole thing has been a nightmare, and the worst decision I've ever made.
