Arkansas Tech University Reviews
Rating 3.8 out of 5 1,122 reviews
Arkansas Tech is a nice place to consider when thinking about college. The physical environment is very beautiful and one of the most prominent things on campus is trees! Trees, everywhere! The town is a nice little areas with geese, squirrels, and cows about. When it comes to the staff, I can gladly say that most of the professors are amazing and very understanding people. The best feature of this university is probably the library; it's always bustling with the newest events. Just across the yard is the bell tower--another prominent feature of this campus. These places are probably the most exciting areas to be and they're right in the center of campus! Tech may have its flaws but if you don't have a first choice, then I highly recommend taking a look at Arkansas Tech University.
If I could say one thing about my experience at Arkansas Tech, it's that the environment as a whole has made it worthwhile. From the professors to the on-campus events and especially Jerry the Bulldog, it really has been an honor to be a part of it! I love the connections I've made throughout my years of being a student here. I've met some amazing human beings along the way along with some even better memories that I will cherish in the long run. I do feel that something that should change is that, there should be more diverse events and organizations for minorities on campus. I feel like as a minority myself, this would have been the cherry on top. With that being said, Heck Yeah, Tech Yeah!
Nice campus easy to navigate. Only 5 residence halls are nice. The rest are ancient. Some professors are phenomenal and some are terrible. I fortunately had professors was passionate and cared about our education, others could absolutely careless about their students. The cafeteria is good for a college. Could be better. Tuition price is reasonable. Meal plan prices need to be cheaper. My heart thrived in the science dept. Most buildings are great for classes. Two buildings need work: Corely and Witherspoon need major interior upgrades, especially Witherspoon. Organizations and clubs are truly awesome! Events are awesome as well! Friendly atmosphere between students. I noticed professors don’t get paid or get taken cared of like they should. Administration and the board are a big part of the issue and why students leave. They are more focused on making money than the well being of students and professors. 90% of classmates transferred before junior year to different university.
