I love the intentionality that stretches across all of campus. The leadership opportunities and the growth within my field of study are preparing me for my future career field.
I love the family-like atmosphere of Anderson University. The class sizes are small, and the professors truly care about the students. Anderson University gives out a generous amount of scholarships as well. Other than the fact that AU really needs more parking and housing, this is a wonderful university and I do not regret my decision to come here.
My overall experience at Anderson so far has been very good. The people here are friendly, and the professors are very helpful and willing to help.
Every semester I have hope that I will enjoy attending AU, and every semester I find myself disappointed, and even angry that I decided to come here. Growing up in Anderson, SC, AU always received wonderful reviews, but it is all a ruse. When we see tours, my peers and I say “we wish we went to that AU too!”
I have very few good professors, and even then it’s questionable. I disagree wholeheartedly with what I am being taught. There are not enough characters to explain, but essentially every aspect of AU I have encountered has sucked.
If I could go back, I would choose a different school. I do not feel like I am being prepared for the real world at AU, I am just being treated like a child. They only care about the parents and not the adults they are “teaching” (yes, I have to have parent permission for things despite being married and financially independent). The education is horrible, and overall I do not recommend AU to anyone.

Great place to be for the most part! I came in as a freshman during 2020 and they did the best they could at making the college experience closest to normal. The professors are AMAZING! They truly care about you beyond academics. The people is what has made the past 3 years incredible. Professors, faculty, staff, and the friendships I’ve made have had the biggest impact on my life. I see these relationships continuing even after graduation.
Complaints: It’s getting bigger than it’s intended. The facilities cannot accommodate the record breaking growth. AU should consider capping admissions at a certain number to keep it small. Parking is a nightmare. I’m concerned how the environment will change with the football team. I hope this program brings funding to other areas on campus instead of having funding cut from academic programs.

This will be my first year there so technically I am not an official student. I transferred from Southwest Baptist University. I did not have the most pleasant experience there. If you plan to go there, just be cautious of who you surround yourself with.
Most of the staff are extremely caring and get to know their students so well. There are tons of student activities and way to get involved if you want. The campus is small and it is often difficult to find parking. They are also very strict on their rules.
My experience has been nothing but, amazing! Anderson is the perfect size school to have that homey but college experience feeling. The staff here are great and always go above and beyond to help you succeed in every way possible.
I love the professors and the research opportunities at Anderson. I have made some of my closest friends there that I plan to have for life. I love that they have recently allowed books to become a part of our tuition, but tuition has gone up $10,000 since I started. As one of three children in college in my family, it is becoming very expensive to attend.
Since enrolling at Anderson and living on campus, my faith, academics, and overall happiness has improved so much. Everyone on campus is extremely kind and welcoming. That was the biggest surprise to me upon starting, was just how nice everyone truly was. I have connected with professors, staff, and especially upperclassmen who went to help you succeed. The academics have also been so supplying. I have been able to grow my understanding of topics that were covered in high school, as well as grow new topics to prepare me for my career. I also have had the opportunity to participate in research projects, both throw the Engineering Club and a professor's private research.
Anderson is a great Christian community with a strong focus on faith and the arts. The campus is beautiful and the staff are all helpful. The only downside is the price tag, especially since they are starting their football team now.
Anderson University is an amazing University, and I am thankful that I have been able to be a part of of the community. I have grown so much in my knowledge and understanding of course material, as well as made some of the best friends I could ask for. Since being a student at Anderson I have also gown so much closer in my faith and my relationship with Jesus Christ and have been able to pursue a relationship with him. I realised very quickly as well that Anderson does care about their students so much and wants to watch them grow and succeed. For my major I chose Elementary Education and have had such a positive experience with the students and professors. I chose this in order to positively influence the lives of children, to be a guiding light, conveying encouraging words and actions while instilling content knowledge and behavioural practices to all students no matter their background. Without Anderson none of this would have been possible leaving me with a great experience.
Anderson University is so wonderful. I just could not be more grateful to attend here. The professors genuinely care about each individual student. The student body is generally very kind and there are plenty of opportunities to find a great group of friends. The food is not great but the excellent education and lovely people there make attending here so worth it. Also, it is much more affordable than you think. The scholarships I received from Anderson made this school much cheaper than U of SC or Clemson!
I love au. The culture there is amazing. When you step on campus for the first time you will be flooded with the outstanding hospitality. This feeling of importance will continue to follow you throughout your college experience there. I would definitely recommend au if someone is looking for a college that not only great in academics but cares about their students on a personal level.
Anderson Unviersity was another school when I toured. It was set on the values of Christ and being a small community. They now focus on numbers and growth over Christ and good community. It is rapidly changing and not in the best way. I think the price of it has NOT been worth it. The people here can be amazing but after your first year it is not the best.
Although I take all online courses the teachers are always responsive and available to help. Academic advisors always reach out to motivate and make sure I'm achieving my goals.
The academics at Anderson are very organized and have a low class size that allows for easy communication between students and teachers. Campus is fairly small, but it feels more like a community than a college town.
Anderson University is awesome. Made so many great friends. The environment is great. The classes are great.
Anderson University is so great because you can worship God among people who share a love for God, like you do. This is a Christian institute and it is faith based and I love the services that we are allowed to attend during the week. The dorm residence halls are so great. I love Anderson University!
I overall enjoy Anderson University. It has a wonderful staff and they are all prepared to be relational with their students. They encourage that you seek help outside the classroom, and enjoy getting to know students outside of the classroom.
