American Public University System Reviews
I'm so glad I made this decision to attend American Public University. As soon as I submitted my application, I received a phone call (on a Sunday), letting me know the admission process, and what's to come. They pretty much held my hand throughout the process, and checked in periodically. Each department were also helpful in addressing my questions and concerns unless it needed to be answered by a specific department. Books & ebooks are included! You can't get much better than that! Additionally, it's relatively affordable. My entire (certificate) program will cost around $6K. That might be expected for a certificate program, however that's much better than shelling out thousands for 2 courses. The cost of credit hours are also affordable in comparison to other schools. They also allow a payment plan for those like myself paying out of pocket. I would highly recommend American Public University!
American public university is an excellent start. Although it is online, it still offers a wonderful experience. It gives students the taste of having a professor in real life. I only say this because once you’re on there long enough, the difference becomes non existent. Admittedly, I was quite nervous before starting my freshman year there. But as it turns out, it wasn’t as bad as the stereotypes of going to school online claims it to be. Apu is an amazing place to be! You can study anything there. I’m planning to get my bachelors in the space studies, with my concentration being astronomy. You can certainly achieve your dreams at this wondrous college.
APUS has been a wonderful re-introduction to academia for me! Having been out of school for a few years and with big goals to continue on to a brick-and-mortar institution, my school has been extremely effective in propelling me forward. Many of the professors are outstanding and engaging, and the vast online library and offering of free textbooks are testaments to how much they truly want to aid students. I couldn't have asked for a better online campus to help me learn, grow, connect, and really mold my future in a way that is above and beyond what I previously would have thought possible. Not only have I received a solid general education, but the classes offered in my concentration have been exceptional. Additionally, I've found other students through honors and academic clubs that are as passionate as I am about my subjects of interest and it has been a joy to work with my peers. I feel thoroughly prepared to continue on outside of APUS and later in grad school.
