I WENT HERE FOR MY LVN DURING COVID AND IT WAS ALL ZOOM BASED LEARNING. WHEN WE WERE TRYING TO DO CLINICAL HOURS ON SITE, WE WERE ALWAYS TURED AWAY FOR COVID REASONS OR THE CLINIC DIDNT WANT US THERE. SCHOOL IS VERY UNORGANIZED.
The school is so disorganized. They promise different clinical sites each term but they were the same for all the terms I was there. Always last minute notifications of which site you were going to each day. Was discriminated against for being pregnant by the clinical administrator, Ms.Dixon. After that she wouldn’t look at me or apologize. Many teachers quit and the school is severely understaffed, administrators were teaching some classes by the time I graduated. The isolated classroom at the back is the worst. You’re not allowed to use the door by the classroom to go to the bathroom, you have to walk around the whole building. The school also did not provide my program with jackets but we weren’t allowed to wear outside jackets either. The scrubs we paid for are paper thin and the pants ripped in the butt area for many students. Also wearing white to clinicals is ridiculous, we had 8-12 hour days and many girls were too busy working and stained their pants on their time of the month
American Career College has been amazing. To start they are very encouraging and know how to motivate everyone. They have unlimited resources for all students. They have a good understanding that things happen in our daily lives and are always willing to help with one as long as there is good communication. They are reassuring that there is always a way to work things out and get through any obstacles. It’s starts with you giving it your best effort. The instructors are great! The lectures are constructed in a way that everyone can understand clearly. Not just memorization. I like the events they have on campus every month. It helps easy the stress of exams and deadlines. It makes my experience at school much more enjoyable. They remind us that it’s fine to study and work hard but it’s important to enjoy the process. The other classes that are ahead are also willing to help with any questions, concerns or tips to be successful in our career. This has made me feel much better to finish.
I like that they are concerned with helping students and making sure we have resources . We have campus to do homework and relax as well if we need a place to stay and do homework , everyone’s always resourceful and we have the equipment we need
Such a beautiful campus and such a great school. Loved my professors and administrators. They also help you find a job once you graduate.
I attended ACC in March at the very beginning of the pandemic, completed term 1, beginning of term 2 I suffered a miscarriage. Of course I lost days and hours due to this, I reached out to many administrators and instructors explaining what was happening, for being part of the nursing program and nurses themselves not one showed any kind of understanding or compassion. They told me “too bad you have hours to make up/you’ve been missing clinical hours, talk to so and so for makeups” I reached out to every person they told me and not one got back to me. They allowed me to go through all of term 2 and then dropped me on the very final day so I didn’t get a grade. I’ve been trying to get back into my program because I am passionate about becoming a nurse however they’ve made it pretty impossible. You don’t have to be a nurse to care that someone had a miscarriage, but you would think a nurse would. They only care about getting their money and nothing else.
I graduated at ACC , Ontario LVN program March 2022. The experience was very special to me, from the beginning. Advisors will not turn you away and tell you, why don't you try another course instead of this? They will tell you you want this program? Yes you got it. I went in thinking you know what let me just try this school it has good reviews very good passing rate and let me just take this entrance test see if I pass. I did and so my journey began. Just like any other school, there will be ups and downs with the administration, what school does not? But even though they may be late to reply to your queries, they REPLY and support you all the way through. Every instructor I had in this school was a blessing, I LEARNED from every single one, good or bad. To me, It's not the school's sole responsibility for your success, if you work together side by side, you can pass and you will be that person that you aimed to be. Thank you ACC!!! Ms. Tina Darling, Ms. Shabazz, Mr. Montano and all.
I went into the LVN program with ACC during covid. It has been a challenge from being a student who learns best in a classroom setting versus online education. It's a fast past course and teaching yourself is expected. If you access all of your tools for this program you will do well. Studying everyday and doing homework is very important to pass the classes. Overall I wish I was on campus but due to covid we have adapted to learn in an online environment.
I personally do not classes online. It is not the same as learning in a classroom environment where you can be hands on and work with classmates. With being online its expected to have technical difficulties or internet problems. We take all our test online and 90 percent of our learning is online. Being on the computer all day is very draining, but Im fortunate to have continued this far in the program.
Staff has been amazing so far, just entering the program and want to say their very helpful and awesome
American career college is a good program where it only takes 2 years to achieve your degree and try to aspire for a better life.
I think it would be great if they add a cafe. The advisors are very down to earth and wonderful. The teachers are pretty strict as well.
I started My course about 3 months ago and so far I am loving every second of it, yes classes tend to be a bit tough but the Teachers here help guide you through every step of the way always available to answer questions and for those who love hands on learning, this school is the best!
Ms. Munoz the Medical Assisting instructor is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. She loves her students and her students love her. The advisors however need to more acurately portray how the classes will actually be, and be honest about costs and availabile funding.
Everyone there are SO INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly .. the joining process was flawless .. no information was left out .. scheduled appointments were very easy to do as well. Phone questions were answered right away - and the return phone calls are always within the day ..
American career college is wonderful very welcoming , helping and the staff wants nothing but the best for you

I Love American Career College. They are all professional and always willing to help if I have any questions.
My experience with American Career College has been a very good and positive learning experience. They inspire success and motivate you to believing even in tough times you can over come and triumph. One thing that I would like to see change would be the amount of classes offered, but I hear that will change in the future as well..
American Career College's staff is so helpful. They make sure they cater to the students and ensure that everyone who attends has a pleasant experience. The instructors are so helpful and knowledgeable, always willing to go above and beyond for the students.
