The school is amazing on the budget, and even has dorms for those who want dorm-life at a community college. The admissions process is very simple- the school even gives college credit for AP exams, which got me a semester ahead in college! Now Allegany is a community college, so a lot of people are not super-social and only stay on the campus for classes, however, there are some clubs and organizations that you can join- and probably should if you want to meet people! Allegany is unique because it has some of the pros of a 4 year institute (Dorms, mutliple campuses, etc.), but it has the price of a community college. Not to mention, it is beautifully nestled in the mountains and is nearby all social activities in Cumberland, MD. Also, if you're really craving a good party, Frostburg University is only 15 minutes away.
