The place is very inclusive and the environment is very chill, casual, and relaxed. Even then, we still work very hard and the curriculum is well suited and focused on the careers that we are pursuing. My teacher and his assistant are amazing as well, they are always helpful, very patient with us, and best of all very casual and friendly people. The college is amazing and is perfect for me.
I love what little I have seen of The Academy of Interactive Entertainment It is just full of weirdos like me and nerds like me.
They have excellent teachers. This school is specificalised in Game art and animation. I received my diploma in 2021. I think the school needs to work hard to get accredited.
As for schools to learn about the game industry, I’d recommend AIE highly. Their 2 year program was very informative, challenging and fun. Everything was very hands-on, concerned with learning the technical skills needed for game development. The staff were very supportive and friendly. They made sure that every student need was met and made my overall experience a memorable one. Unfortunately, the school is located in an office building, not giving students a genuine “on-campus” experience.
Throughout this pandemic, AIE's staff and professors have had to learn to move everything online for us students to be able to learn. Of course it has been rocky, but that is to be expected when you're forced to do online learning. I wouldn't want to be at any other school when it came to this pandemic because AIE has done everything they can do in order for students to have a reliable, encouraging, and excellent environment to learn online in such a short amount of time.
