On the Overall Experience: “Some days I doubted my decision to come to this school. I thought it ruined my mental health. I thought my GPA would be better if I went somewhere else. I thought I was sacrificing a lot for the “Cornell experience”. I learned that yes, I did sacrifice a lot. But it was entirely worth it. The connections I have made are ones that I can’t imagining finding anywhere else. Every obstacle along the way built character. My experiences at Cornell completely changed my future” – Recent Alumnus

On the Overall Experience: “There’s literally something for everyone. During my first week of school, I started working on a the engine of a Formula Hybrid race car, play in a poker tournament, went whitewater kayaking, starting going to the rock climbing gym, and went stupid at a dance party.” – College Freshman

On Self-Care: “Penn is a good school if you like urban-ness. It is also good for independent people as it really is a place where you have to learn to thrive. Make sure to take some good mental health practices as people tend to over-work themselves. If you work hard, you play hard, but both can be exhausting so also take time for yourself.” – College Freshman

On the Overall Picture: “Everyone at the school truly cares for the students and their well being as well as their academic success. Great diversity of students where you can meet people from all over the world. Safety precautions they take at the school make me feel protected. Dorm life is amazing, where you feel like family with the students on your floor. All in all it is a wonderful school to be a part of and I find it an honor to be there!” – College Sophomore

On Academics: “The new curriculum fosters academic exploration, and I have really gotten to learn more about myself over the last two years. The fact that Brown doesn’t have gen-eds creates a very flexible atmosphere for students, such that we can take a variety of classes that are interesting and fun while we’re pursuing our majors.” – College Junior

On the Overall Experience: “Like with any school, Princeton has its pros and cons. One of the best things the school has provided me with and one of the major reason’s I chose it is because of its financial aid package, and the financial support it gives students in whatever endeavor you wish to pursue.” – College Sophomore

On Financial Aid: “They selected the best in the country, and they want them to attend. Harvard makes sure that you can afford to go if they accept you. If you choose not to attend, it’s not because of financial reasons.” – College Junior

On student housing: “AMAZING! Forget those “dorms” that kids are other colleges live in. At Yale, you get a suite, which is more like an apartment. Suites are shared between multiple people, and include a common room, bathroom, and bedrooms. I could not ask for anything better. The suites are large, clean, and renovated regularly. Because our housing system is so beloved, 90% of the student body lives on campus!” – College Sophomore

How Campus Visits Helped Me Pick the Right College
As a first generation college student, I had very little guidance when it came to the college application process. I didn’t even think I had a chance at getting accepted into an out of state college, much less being able to afford the tuition and dorm costs of one.
