I Found My Niche at the University of Michigan
Student Name: Zoe Garden
School: University of Michigan
Major: Communication and Media
“Hi! My name is Zoe Garden, and I am a senior at the University of Michigan, studying Communication and Media with a Political Science minor. Currently, I am studying for the LSAT in October. However, I chose this major because of the different routes I could take because I have so many interests so my plan may be different tomorrow!
In late 2017, I created a pop culture nostalgia blog called @somelikeitpop to express my creativity and my love for everything pop culture. In the past 3 years, it has grown bigger than I could have ever imagined. I have also created YouTube videos (zoe somelikeitpop) on my college experience and getting into UMich as a transfer student. My presence online is all about spreading positivity, staying true to yourself and being unapologetic! Helping others find themselves and grow in their college experience is something I am so passionate about.
Since March, plans have changed and everything around us has been affected. This fall, I have been taking all online classes in my dorm. It sounds cheesy, but I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and since we can’t control what is happening around us, we should make the best of what we can control (while staying as safe as possible)!”—@somelikeitpop

Zoom hasn’t provided me the glimpse into life as a Bluejay that I wanted, but Hopkins feels like a dream already. Baltimore is full of charm, and the people—students, professors, and all—are unbelievably friendly and always willing to lend a hand.
I Found My Niche at the University of Memphis
The people here are amazing and the school is awesome. I’m so lucky that I get to cheer on the Tigers at every game and that I get to represent the school in some way.
I Found My Niche at Northwest Nazarene University
Sure enough, I found myself here my freshman year and it took all of one day to integrate myself into campus’ famous community. I say ‘famous’ because if you ask any student what their favorite part of NNU is, they’ll say our community! Fellowship comes naturally here, and I think we owe that to the Christian values our school was founded on.
