I Found My Niche at Savannah College of Art and Design – Atlanta
Student Name: Ma Lee
Major: Fashion Design
“Hello, I’m Ma Lee! I’m a senior at SCAD (Atlanta Campus). The reason why I choose my major was because it has been a childhood dream of mine to become a fashion designer. As soon as I could use my hands, I remember my earliest memories were of sketching garments, cutting up my own clothes and gluing them together to create clothes for my barbies. I didn’t realize until I got a little older that that was an actual career – to design clothes.
Here I am so many years later at SCAD. It wasn’t easy getting to where I am now. Both of my parents were refugee immigrants and I was the first born of ten kids. It was hard leaving my family behind to follow my dreams but they have been supportive of me since day one. It turns out I was the only one that doubted myself. Thankfully, I am blessed with people who believe in me no matter what. The future holds a lot in store and I’m excited to embark on this new journey as I finish school.”—@m.iong

Zoom hasn’t provided me the glimpse into life as a Bluejay that I wanted, but Hopkins feels like a dream already. Baltimore is full of charm, and the people—students, professors, and all—are unbelievably friendly and always willing to lend a hand.

The people here are amazing and the school is awesome. I’m so lucky that I get to cheer on the Tigers at every game and that I get to represent the school in some way.
I Found My Niche at Northwest Nazarene University
Sure enough, I found myself here my freshman year and it took all of one day to integrate myself into campus’ famous community. I say ‘famous’ because if you ask any student what their favorite part of NNU is, they’ll say our community! Fellowship comes naturally here, and I think we owe that to the Christian values our school was founded on.
