I Found My Niche at New York University
Student Name: Santana
School: New York University
Major: Law, Ethics, & History
“Hello hello! My name is Santana (she/her)! In the fall, I will be attending New York University as a freshman at the College of Arts & Sciences. I plan to pursue a major in Law, Ethics & History as I would like to become a human rights attorney! :)
I chose NYU for a few reasons: the diversity, the intricate curriculum, and of course—the city! I grew up in Kentucky, which isn’t diverse, so attending a university where I felt comfortable and would have the opportunity to emerge myself in other cultures was critical. Furthermore, I’ve wanted to be a lawyer since middle school, and I knew that NYU would support my ambitions.
As a low-income, first-generation college student, I am more than grateful for the opportunities I’ve been granted; it is a dream come true!” – @santana.rk
