I Found My Niche at Florida Memorial University
Student Name: Yunior E. Sanchez
School: Florida Memorial University
Major: Computer Science
“Hello everyone, my name is Yunior E. Sanchez and I am currently a junior cyber security analyst at Bang Energy, a collegiate baseball player, and MBA student at the only HBCU in South Florida, Florida Memorial University. FMU opened its arms to me when I first came from the Dominican Republic to pursue a degree in computer sciences. I quickly fell in love with its people and diversity; its staff has always provided me with a family-like treatment and helped me by putting me in a position to achieve greater things.
I remember my third semester at FMU within a month my professor registered me in an ethical hacking hackathon and that became the first time I won a hackathon and the first of many events hosted by the university that I came to proudly represent FMU. I am very thankful for all the opportunities that have been and continue to be given to me on the playing field and in the classroom. Each one of them eventually dictated the path towards my career in the cyber security field.” – @yuniorsanch
