I Found My Niche at Alvernia University
Student Name: Julie
School: Alvernia University
Major: Occupational Therapy
Hello!! My name is Julie and I am going to be a Junior this year at Alvernia University. I am an Occupational Therapy major as well as a softball player here at my school:)
One thing I favor most about Alvernia is definitely it’s size. It has made it so much easier to connect not only with my classmates to form study groups and homework sessions, but with my professors as well.
The campus is also surrounded by nature and trails which is HUGE for me personally since it is a way i’ve always chosen to relieve stress.
However one thing I do not like about Alvernia is the inconsistency when it comes to the food in the dining hall. I find myself eating a lot of the same things. Although this could be a negative to some, it has made me tap into cooking with my roommates and became something we all enjoyed doing together and trying new recipes!! The dining hall does keep their minds open to opinions from students which makes us all feel better knowing they care about us and not just our money. – @julieb_42

I chose Salve originally because I applied as an elementary education major, but changed my mind after getting a tour with the chair of the art department. My future plans are to get a teaching certificate and become an art teacher!

The best thing about Gallaudet… Gallaudet is the only deaf university in the nation. Fully well access to education by using sign language to communicate with each other and make sure each other understands.
