For the last 4 years Alcorn has molded me into the person I am today. Alcorn has provided me with countless opportunities and resources.
I have changed my major, broken away from my comfort zone, and stepped closer to achieving my goals as I get closer to my last year.
Attending a historically black college was a good decision for me. I needed to be around people who look like me who also want to work hard and be successful.
There is a vast amount of both economic, racial, and cultural diversity which I think is extremely cool. There is no such thing as a “typical Vassar student.”
The administration is very passionate about their students as well as caring. Attending such a historic university such as Morris Brown comes with a lot of media attention, academic standards and exposure for any career field.
Direct admissions is all about colleges coming to students instead of the other way around. If a college knows they would welcome a student like you based on your grades and other credentials, you shouldn’t have to bend over backwards to get in.
Hinds is amazing and it’s the best choice I ever made. Hinds is definitely a home away from home and you also get that HBCU experience.
UT Arlington is also a top tier school meaning our academics and study are very awesome and looks really good for resumes and more especially if looking for a job in the near future.
