Why Wasn’t My College Ranked?
The Niche 2017 College Rankings assess over 4,000 colleges in the U.S. From our college rankings home, you can explore dozens of rankings by school type, location, major, or category. For most of these rankings, like our Best Colleges ranking, you can filter by state to go beyond the Top 100 in America.
Can’t find your school? Try this:
It’s easiest to go directly to your school’s profile. You can do this in the top right of any college page – (search box on desktop, magnifying glass icon on mobile). Type in the school name to go to your school’s profile. On the profile page, scroll down the page and you’ll see a link that says “See all [school name] rankings”. That link will take you to a listing of all of your school’s rankings. You can also add /rankings/ to the end of your school’s profile URL to go their directly (for example, https://www.niche.com/colleges/stanford-university/rankings/).
Still can’t find your school?
If you still can’t find your school in our college rankings, there are 3 possible explanations:
1. You may have selected a list that your school is not in. Most rankings assess four-year colleges only. Two-year colleges are only included in our rankings of Best Community Colleges and Best Trades Schools. Some rankings are limited to a particular characteristic – for example, just public universities. Our Best Colleges by Major, only includes schools that offer 4-year Bachelor’s degrees in a particular field.
2. You may have selected a location that your school is not in. If your school is not in the Top 100 in America for a particular list, you’ll need to filter by state, which you can do at the top of any list.
3. Your school may not have had enough data to be ranked. If you go to your school’s rankings page (for example https://www.niche.com/colleges/yale-university/rankings/) and you don’t see the ranking listed, then your school was not eligible for the ranking.
