Factors Considered

Factor Description Source Weight
Parent/Student Surveys on Food Niche survey responses scored on a 1-5 scale regarding the food at the school. Self-reported by Niche users 80.0%
Expenses per Student Total expenses divided by the total number of students. Results are normalized by the median household income in the enveloping county. Schools are assigned their school district’s value since this fact is only available for districts. National Center for Education Statistics 20.0%

Statistics obtained from the U.S. Department of Education represent the most recent data available, as self-reported by the school districts.
