Niche features hundreds of scholarships from a wide range of organizations as well as hosting a few of our own. You can use our scholarship page to find scholarships that are the best match for you. How do I apply?
You will first need to create a free Niche account. You can then go to our scholarships page and use the options on the left of the page to help you find scholarships that are the best fit for you.
How will I know if I am awarded a scholarship?
If you have won a Niche scholarship you will be notified by phone or email from our Niche scholarship liaison. If you have applied for a third-party scholarship, they will contact you with a confirmation and /or notification if you’ve won.
When will I be notified if I have won a scholarship?
Niche scholarship winners are contacted by the 15th of the month.
Can you confirm that I applied for a scholarship?
Yes. you will receive a confirmation email after applying. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders as it may have ended up there.
How do I know which scholarships I applied for?
Each will be noted in the confirmation email(s) you receive after applying. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders as it may have ended up there.
Can international students apply?
It depends. Niche sponsored scholarships are for students with U.S. citizenship or a valid Visa/US passport. There are third-party scholarships on site that may be for international students. Be sure to read the eligibility requirements for each scholarship to make sure you are applying for scholarships best for you.
I have applied many times. Why have I never won?
Niche scholarships have many applicants. Winners are selected at random once a month. Keep trying!
Will Niche pay for my student loans?
We currently do not have a scholarship for paying off student loans, but the $1,000 Local Survey Sweepstakes is something you can apply for if you are no longer in school. We also encourage you to check out scholarships listed on Niche that are sponsored by other organizations.

Are Niche scholarships real?
Yes! Niche awards scholarships on a monthly and yearly basis to students and families all over the United States. You can read about some of our previous winners by visiting the Winners Page.
Am I eligible to apply for scholarships?
Anyone applying to or attending a US-based high school, college, or graduate school or online school listed on Niche are eligible to apply. You must use the award funds within a year of being received. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold a visa to apply for Niche scholarships. Be sure to review each scholarship’s guidelines because they vary slightly. Please note that outside organizations can list scholarships on Niche. Questions pertaining to these scholarships should be directed to the awarding organization.
If a family member or myself is active in the military or living abroad, can we apply for scholarships?
Yes, you are eligible to apply for scholarships. Please use the most recent U.S. address at which you or the family member has lived. If you are selected as a winner, you will be contacted by phone or email.
Are adult learners eligible for scholarships?
Yes. All high school and college students, as well as anyone looking to attend college or graduate school in the next year, are eligible to apply. Please review each scholarship’s guidelines because they vary slightly.
How do I submit a scholarship to be listed on-site?
We are not listing new scholarships organically on our site at this time.

What if I do not use my scholarship within a year of receiving it?
The scholarship will be awarded to a different person if it is not used within a year of being received.
